Breathable Base Coat
Clear Breathable Base Coat How to Apply UV Gel Breathable Base Coat: Step 1: Gather Your Supplies Ensure you have all the necessary supplies: UV Gel Base Coat Nail cleanser or isopropyl alcohol Lint-free nail wipes Cuticle pusher Nail trimmer and file Step 2: Prep Your Nails a. Remove Old Polish: Begin by removing any existing nail polish using a non-acetone nail polish remover. Ensure your nails are clean and free of any residue. b. Trim and Shape: Trim your nails to your desired length and shape them using a nail trimmer and file. Be gentle to avoid causing damage to the nail bed. c. Push Back Cuticles: Use a cuticle pusher to gently push back your cuticles. This creates a clean canvas for the UV Gel Breathable Base Coat application. d. Gentle Nail Buffing: Lightly buff the surface of your nails with a nail buffer. This helps smooth the nail surface and enhances the adhesion of the base coat. Be cautious not to over-buff, as this can weaken the nails. Step 3: Application of UV Gel Base Coat a. Prepare Nails: Clean your nails with a nail cleanser or isopropyl alcohol to remove any remaining oils or debris. Ensure your nails are completely dry before proceeding. b. Apply a Thin and Even Layer: Dip the brush into the UV Gel Base Coat, ensuring it is adequately coated but not overloaded. Apply a thin and even layer to each nail, starting from the cuticle and moving towards the tip. Avoid contact with the cuticles and surrounding skin. c. Cap the Free Edge: Extend the brush slightly beyond the tip of your nail to “cap” or seal the free edge. This helps prevent premature chipping. Step 4: Proper Cure Under UV Lamp a. Follow Manufacturer’s Instructions: If you are using a Napolay UV/LED Lamp, refer to the instructions provided for the recommended curing time. Typically, UV Gel Breathable Base Coat requires 30 seconds to 1 minute of curing, while LED lamps require 1 to 2 minutes of curing. b. Ensure Even Exposure: Place your nails in the center of the UV lamp to ensure even exposure to the UV light. Follow the lamp’s instructions for proper positioning. Step 5: Post-Application Care a. Check for Uniformity: After curing, inspect each nail for uniform coverage. If needed, apply an additional thin coat to achieve the desired opacity. b. Wipe Off Sticky Residue: Use a lint-free nail wipe soaked in nail cleanser or isopropyl alcohol to gently wipe off any sticky residue left on the nails. This reveals a smooth and clean surface. c. Proceed to Color Layers or Additional Steps: Once the UV Gel Base Coat is applied and cured, you can proceed with applying colored gel polish or any additional nail art as desired.
