The stand’s speaker support surface is layered with urethane foam to further suppress unwanted vibrations and is angled at a shallow 13 degrees under the assumption that music will be enjoyed a short distance away from the speakers. The angle also prevents sound waves from reflecting off hard surfaces, which can negatively impact audio quality.
